Driving Change: Energy and Transportation in the 21st Century
|
Transport accounts for a quarter of the carbon emissions in the UK. Reducing emissions from transport is therefore essential to achieve significant reductions in the UK's carbon emissions. However, changing the established carbon-intense transport systems will require major shifts in technology, infrastructure, policy and behavioural patterns. In the 2010 Cambridge Annual Energy Conference, speakers from industry and academia come together to answer the big questions on transport, such as: What major challenges will be faced in developing and implementing a truly sustainable transport system? What current and future technologies could feasibly change transport on a large scale? How will consumer behaviour adapt in response to such major changes? In bringing together professionals, academics and students, all with a common interest in sustainable transport, this conference aims to inform, inspire and facilitate interaction between the people whose diverse skills will play a role in this important area. The conference will be a one-day event on 22 June 2010, including speaker sessions and discussion panels when delegates can put forward questions. There will be opportunity for all attendees to network at the buffet lunch, coffee breaks and wine reception included as part of the conference. For further details, click here.
